Highland & Moray Accredited Training Services (HiMATS)

HiMATS is an accredited training service providing vocational qualifications and accredited training throughout Highland and Moray recognising the disadvantages caused by rurality and remoteness.

HiMATS offers SVQ's from level 2 through to level 5 in Children's Care, Learning and Development. Playwork, Team Leading, Administration, Development: Birth to Young Adulthood and Children and Young People with Special Needs.

HiMATS also delivers Assessor and Verifier Awards (A1 & V1) and PC Passport; SQA's ICT qualification.

During 2004 over seventy practitioners completed qualifications with HiMATS. At present 120 candidates are working towards a range of qualifications supported by the HiMATS team of peripatetic assessors.
