Direct Childcare (DC)

Direct Childcare has been operating since June 2004, providing mobile crèche and sitter services. DC currently have 5 fully equipped crèche vans covering Highland and Moray, providing care for children aged from 6 months to 16 years.

Crèche support has been provided to health professionals and other agencies when running training courses for parents/carers, conferences, drop in community crèches in rural areas, regular supporting visits to existing community groups etc.

All staff are sourced from the Care and Learning Alliance staffbank, which also provides relief playworker cover to all pre-school groups in the area. In the first 9 months of operation Direct Childcare has provided 189 crèches and an average of 100 hours per week relief playworker cover.
